Blogging Tips

I am introducing some of my staff to my school blog. I will also show it to some of my students soon also. I would like to get more conversation going between us about books and learning . Blogging could be used for so many things- writing, collaboration, book reviews, sharing of information, book discussion, maybe podcasts??
What do you do with blogs? I would love to hear.
Coming soon another Book Give Away for February!!

  1. I haven't done a lot with blogging except creating The Libaray Gals (see link below) with a fellow Media Specialist for a course. I've been posting a lot more recently than my friend. I would like to do more to get my students talking about books and what they are reading. But unfortunatly, there are a lot of issues to think about before starting blogs with students.

  2. We are just getting into doing more at our school. We met with the Tech Director today to make sure that the comments would be checked before being posted.

  3. It's great that you are meeting with the Tech Director. It is important to preview the posts before they go out on the web. Are you going to using a specific program or site?

  4. We use blogger which is what I am used to. They have updated the program quite a bit since I started so I am relearning a lot about the new dashboard. The funny thing is that the rest of the school colleagues do not seem to be very aware of how blogs are set up and how they work.
